WINNER OF U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY’S MEGAWATT VENTURES COMPETITION

Sensatek develops wireless sensors that measure firing temperature to help gas turbine engine operators save costs by extending maintenance intervals. Sensatek placed 1st in the Megawatt Ventures Competition, taking home the Grand Prize of $50,000 last year.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, Megawatt Ventures provides essential funding and mentorship to support the commercialization and success of cleantech innovations developed by University students. Applicants will be selected to present at the MegaWatt Ventures pitch competition to compete for $50,000, while also participating in a hands-on training program to prepare the teams and their technology for a successful market launch.
